Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Lerent at lerent.org you agree to these terms.

1. What Lerent does

Lerent helps property owners and managers track properties, leases, rent, documents, repairs and messages with their tenants. Lerent is not a landlord, bank, law firm or real estate broker.

2. Accounts

• You must give accurate information. Tenants must sign up with the name on their lease.
• You are responsible for keeping your login safe and for activity on your account.
• Owners and managers are responsible for who they invite.

3. Rent payments

Rent is paid by ACH or wire transfer only. Lerent records payment details and confirmations but does not hold funds. Late fees are set by the owner and apply after the 5th of the month unless the lease says otherwise. Disputes about rent, deposits or fees are between owner and tenant.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of documents, messages and records you add. You give Lerent permission to store and display them only to people with access to that lease or property. Do not upload illegal content or anything you have no right to share.

5. Acceptable use

No misuse, harassment, fraud, attempts to access others' data, or interference with the service.

6. Termination

You may stop using Lerent at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Lerent is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, Lerent is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, missed payments, or decisions made using the app.

8. Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do.
